Overview

Current Work

Program Director of Masters in Design, QCA
Theme Leader: Griffith Centre for Design and Innovation Research (CDAIR)
External Examiner on MA Design Products, Royal College of Art, London UK

Since commencing employment with QCA Griffith University in Jan 2017, I have been involved with the curriculum development and leadership of the new Bachelor of Design (Jan - May) and the development and implementation of a new Masters in Design (June - present). I have a strong human-centred philosophy to design research and practice and have introduced a number of HCD focused courses into the Masters in Design. Amongst the new set of courses offered on the MDes are Design Thinking, Experience Design (UX and Service), Storytelling and CoLab.
The program is suited to both designers and non-designers with an interest in design-led innovation and emerging practices. The CoLab course offered in 2nd year of the Masters is a collaborative and interdisciplinary course that will work closely with an industry partner/client using design thinking methods to provide insights and solutions. CoLab is open to all students across Griffith University.

In parallel, I have acted as a reviewer (upon invitation) for the Design Research Society (DRS) International conference in Limerick 2018, and am part of the Organising Committee for the forthcoming DRS International conference which be hosted by Griffith University in 2020.
