Overview
Current Work
| After moving from North America I am looking forward to exploring how what I have learned in my studies of the imperial invasions of North America and in my exploration of questions of cultural change and persistence might apply in an Australian context. As well, in my position as head of school, I have found interesting opportunities to undertake research and writing in the issues that confront the place of the humanities, languages and social sciences in the tertiary education sector. Right now I am working on a couple of articles about the concept of the anthropocene and how it relates to Australian history and about re-imagining the bachelor of arts degree. |
