Background

Bio

Dr David Trembath is a Speech Pathologist and NHMRC Early Career Research Fellow (2014-2018) within the Menzies Health Institute Queensland, Griffith University. He has clinical and research expertise in evidence-based speech pathology practice for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). David has published 35 peer reviewed articles research reports, and has been awarded $1.4 million in scholarships, fellowships, grants, and CRC project funds. He is the Editor of the Journal of Clinical Practice in Speech-Language Pathology and reviews for 11 international journals. In 2014, David was listed on the NHMRC External Assessor ‘Outstanding Contribution’ Honour Roll, an honour awarded to approximately 1% of all external reviewers. He regularly consults to professional bodies and Government on disability issues. He has supervised 9 honours students (8 with H1 including 3 with University Medal), one MPsych, and one DPsych student to completion. He currently supervises 3 PhD and 2 MPhil students.
