Research by Higher Degree Supervision or Scholarship

Supervision Overview

I am currently supervising a PhD on the international connections of African American and Indigenous Australian poetry during the civil rights movements in the later part of the twentieth century, and another on an oral history of South Sea Islander peoples in Australia.

My most recent student completion was Gabrielle Rowen Clark's PhD on Food and the Modernist Aesthetic in James Joyce's 'Ulysses'. Gabrielle was awarded her Degree with Excellence and was a Chancellors Medalist in 2017.
