Dr Amanda McGuire is a Nurse Researcher and Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery and Member of the Menzies Health Institute Queensland.
Amanda’s research interest is health promotion and health behaviour change for preventing chronic disease in midlife adults. She is a member of the MHIQ Healthcare Practice and Survivorship Program and Women’s Wellness Research Group.
As a Lecturer she is Course Convenor at the Gold Coast campus for 3804NRS Community Nursing Practice.

Bio

Dr Amanda McGuire is a Registered Nurse with extensive clinical experience working in a range of clinical and management roles in Queensland Health. She completed a Master of Applied Science (Research) and PhD at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Amanda has recently worked as a Lecturer in the School of Nursing at QUT and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Currently working at Griffith University based at the Gold Coast, she is campus coordinator for 3804NRS Community Nursing Practice.

As an early career researcher Amanda’s research interest is health promotion and health behaviour change for the prevention of chronic disease in midlife adults. Amanda is a member of the MHIQ Healthcare Practice and Survivorship Program and Women’s Wellness Research Group.
