Overview

Current Work

Professor Lam is the Foundation Chair Professor of Pathology in Griffith University. His research focus is on diagnostic and molecular pathology of cancers, in particular endocrine, gastrointestinal as well as head/neck tumours. He has produced over 350 referred journal articles, dozens of book chapters and edited a book on oesophageal cancer. In addition, he has contributed more than 10 chapters and involved in consensus group in the preparation of World Health Organisation books on endocrine tumour and head/neck tumour pathology published in 2004 and 2017. He is an Editorial Board Expert Member and author for 5th edition of WHO classification of Digestive tumours in 2018. With all these merits, he was awarded the best senior researcher by Griffith University’s Vice Chancellor in 2010 and was the winner of Australian society of medical research Queensland health and medical research award in 2013.
