RESEARCH INTERESTS

Michelle’s research interests are in early childhood education particularly in the fields of emergent literacy development, parent-child interactions, home environment, and the use of touch screen tablets to foster early learning. Michelle has conducted most of her research in early childhood settings and has research expertise in using a multi-method approach that incorporates qualitative and quantitative statistical analysis combined with observational and intervention-based experimental studies.
