BIO

Dr David Wibowo obtained his PhD from Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at the University of Queensland (Australia) in May 2015, where he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow upon completion of his study. In January 2018, Dr Wibowo joined the Centre for Cell Factories and Biopolymers at Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery, Griffith University (Australia), where he was promoted to a Research Fellow. To date, Dr Wibowo has published 1 book chapter, 1 international patent, and 25 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals (e.g., Chemical Communications, ACS Nano, Angewandte Chemie) with 11 papers as the lead author and 3 papers as the co-corresponding author. He has been awarded the Travel Bursary to participate in the Bridge Program (pharmaceutical research commercialisation) in 2018 and the Early Career Researcher grant in 2019 at the Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery. He has been co-supervising 2 PhD, 2 Master and 3 intern students, so far. Dr Wibowo has to date been invited to peer-review up to 100 manuscripts in leading journals (e.g., Cancers, Cells, Biotechnology & Bioengineering, Biomacromolecules, Vaccines, etc), which led to his 2018 Outstanding Reviewer Award (MDPI) and 2019 Top Peer-Reviewer in Cross-Field (Publons). He is an active Reviewer-Board member for the journals Micromachines, Pharmaceutics, Frontiers in Bioengineering & Biotechnology, and Frontiers in Materials. He is also a member of Controlled Release Society and Microbiology Society where he involved as the Review Panels for 2018 CRS Annual Meeting's abstracts and 2019 Harry Smith Studentship's applications, respectively.
