I am currently Senior Lecturer of Finance at the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics, Griffith Business School, Griffith University, Australia. I obtained a Ph.D. in Finance at Monash University, Australia and a Master's degree (Distinction-the highest class) at Massey University, New Zealand. My expertise and research interests include the field of finance and investments, particularly in the areas of corporate finance and corporate governance, mortgage finance and housing-related research, alternative investments, and global financial markets. I have made a number of presentations at academic conferences and seminars, and have published more than 40 scholarly articles in well-known international journals, such as Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Australian Journal of Management, Accounting and Finance, International Review of Economics and Finance, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Applied Economics and The Finsia Journal of Applied Finance. I have supervised nine Ph.D. students to successfully complete their Ph.D. degrees and is currently supervising another five Ph.D. students and two finance honours students in the areas of corporate governance, mortgage pricing, social and affordable housing investments. To support my research, I have obtained funding from competitive funding agencies, associations, the private sector, and universities. I also have had extensive industry experience in finance, investments, project finance, and business management.
