Dr. Samantha Rarrick (Sam) is a linguist whose research focuses on signed and spoken language documentation and preservation. Her current work addresses two endangered languages of the Kere community in the highlands of Papua New Guinea: Kere and Sinasina Sign Language. Sam strives to approach linguistic research through community-driven efforts, ensuring that language users and community stakeholders are also decision-makers.
