For full information please go to: www.rodconnolly.com Professor Connolly is Director of the Global Wetland Project based at Griffith University. He is an experienced marine scientist with expertise in the links between fisheries and coastal habitats. He uses automated monitoring to measure fish abundance and ecosystem health on reefs, seagrass and mangroves. He also uses chemical tracers to determine carbon pathways and sequestration of blue carbon in coastal waters. Professor Connolly's projects incorporate the science and monitoring of ecosystem health into adaptation strategies. Through his work on resilience and ecosystem protection he is helping to find sustainable solutions to the issues of urbanisation, food security, ecosystem services and climate variability. He chairs and is a member of several scientific panels overseeing water quality and habitat conservation programs in Australia and internationally.
